A Poem by harlem_knight

I am that selfie that never made it
That bad angle that made your lips look too big or your head too small
I am every left swipe that really deserved a right.
A hidden jewel amongst instagram ordained perfection.
I am the unconscious waste of a vain culture
Over saturated with perfect bone structure, straight teeth, arched eyebrows, and hairlines that look like instead of the wheel, Jesus grabbed the clippers.
If instagram is heaven, this..... is purgatory.
I lay in limbo, most often with a face that implies i belong there.
Filled with frustration-
i just want to be noticed but i dont want you to see me.
The irony of it all.
Cheese...
