Sunset Park

Sunset Park

A Poem by harlem_knight

Trees tremble at promises tomorrow
never cared enough to keep
here in sunset park-
lovers sit at the edge
of dawn awaiting forever and
the purplish, red horizon integrates
with space. Stars are brilliant
yet quiet and secrets die here
with none to keep them alive.

Fiery ants stampede about
sandy lots, where the children play,
marching like the Roman Army

A destination only Ceasar knows,
they go to war, moving deeper into dusk.

It took me a minute to understand what you meant by 'red horizon integrates with space', so may I suggest a clearer revision?
Beyond that, this poem is magic.
'trees tremble at promises tomorrow never cared enough to keep'
It's soft and cohesive and vivid - very well done.
