A Poem by Nicole Leigh

be still and he wont hear you

be still and he wont see

when you hide beneath the bed

don’t tell him you’re with me

be still and save your beauty

be still and hide the keys

when we’re running in the dark

forget all that he sees

be still and watch your back now

be still, yes they will heal

ignore the pain and don’t you cry

you’ve still got more to steal

be still and stay forever

be still and keep the peace

you see the demon in his eyes

you know you must appease
