Friends For Life

Friends For Life

A Poem by Richard Dotson, Jr.

I know a special girl who reminds me a of a certain red flower.
Sweet and cute, always in my heart and mind hour after hour.
I’ve known this girl for over four years.
Whenever I talk to her, she eases away the tears.
Her complexion is that of butterscotch candy.
When I’m feeling down, it’s good to have this friend handy.
It’s four years after ninety-seven.
Whenever I look at you, it’s a like a vision of heaven.
Her advice brightens me up like a light.
I can’t help but to look at this beautiful sight.
I adore her because she puts out the flames of the raging fire.
By the way, her friendship I fame and desire.
If she was my girl, I’d give her a long, deep kiss.
This ain’t a lie because I’ve never seen beauty like this.
I’m glad to have you as a friend, right to the very end.
Your knowledge and beauty reminds me of an angel God would send.
I will always be your friend………..for life.
I will always be there for you, even when you become someone’s wife.
I’m glad you’re my friend, so I won’t dis.
Mami Chula, all I want to say is have a Merry Christmas.
