Visions

Visions

A Poem by Richard Dotson, Jr.

Visions of your angelic face first thing in the morning.

Visions of you walking out of my life without warning.

Visions of your beautiful face radiantly gleaming.

Visions of your blazing smile brightly beaming.

Visions of you when you’re extremely happy.

Visions of you when you’re unusually crappy.

Visions of holding you as we lay together.

Visions of cuddling with you during stormy weather.

Visions of clothes fitting to your curvy frame tight like a glove.

Visions of happiness experienced when you’re deeply in love.

Visions of you not being in my life.

Visions of joy you have for being an expected wife.

Visions of me crying for you while writing this with heartfelt emotions.

Visions of you running to hold me with no waste of motions.

Visions of you looking so ravishing on your wedding day.

Visions of loneliness expressed by me when you go away.

Visions of depression now that we are separated.

Visions of regretful feeling for me not having the chance to say we dated.

Visions of self-doubt and me wondering why?

Visions of river-flown tears streaming down my chocolate face, as you walk out of my life for the last time, walking out the door, saying………”Goodbye.”
