24th December 2018  10:45 a.m.

The Serdang house was crowded with police officers. Public were stopped from entering the area. The corpse smell was nauseating with blood drenched all over the floor. The victim’s face was so disfigured by multiple stabs. Even the seasoned policemen were not able to look at the face. Only a grumpy old man was standing beside the corpse with a half-smoked cigarette between his fingers. Inspector Isa was not satisfied with the investigations going on at the murder location. He was still in his sports attire as he was called urgently to attend the crime scene during his jogging scene. “(Danial, apa ini? Dapat apa-apa clue tak? in malay) Danial, what’s going on here? Any clues in?” he called out for his sergeant. Sergeant Danial hurried to the room his chief officer was in. He was gasping for breath after hurrying his way through, to the room.

“(Nama mangsa ialah Dhivya. Identiti pembunuh belum dikesan. Beberapa tetakan dan luka di bahagian kepala dan abdomen. Penyerang membiarkan mangsa mati akibat darah mengalir keluar sepenuhnya. Pihak forensik masih mengusahakan mayat untuk mendapatkan butiran lain) Victim’s name is Dhivya. Murderer’s identity is still unknown. Multiple slashes on head and abdomen. The attacker let the victim to die from blood draining out completely. The forensics are still working on the body to get other details.” the Sergeant finished reporting Isa. “That’s all?” Isa asked shortly. “No sir. This... could be..... a serial murder”, Danial stuttered. “How sure are you, sergeant?” Isa was impressed with his sergeant’s investigation skills.

8 days back a lady was murdered in Rawang. The murderer left a letter written in the blood of the victim, beside the corpse. The same happened here. The letter found in Rawang was, V. The letter we found here is L. Maybe, the murderer is trying to lead us to something. The worst part is I can say that there are more letters to complete what the murderer wants to say. For each letter, he or she is going to kill someone, if I’m not wrong” Danial finished telling his observations proudly.

“Sergeant, take over the investigations on the murderer. Report to me whatever you find. I will join you with the investigation once I settle this two murder case’s paper works. We need to stop the murderer before it results in a killing streak”, Isa instructed Danial. “Aye sir”, he saluted his senior officer. “This boy has a bright future in his career. He is going to achieve a lot. Good luck, Danial. You make me proud, son.” Isa thought to himself as Danial was slowly fading away from his view.
