Bruises

Bruises

A Poem by Mir

Yellow and blue bruises
Cover her arms
Even though she continually begs,
Not to be caused harm.

Things had been going so well,
Before her mother snapped.
Now she's like a ticking bomb,
One that can't be cracked.

What's a girl to do,
When she's helpless and alone.
Lying teary eyed and scared
In a place she once called home.

As the abuse goes on,
She starts to blame herself.
Believing that there's something wrong,
With her; no one else.

As the abuse goes on,
She starts to blame herself.
Believing that there's something wrong,
With her; no one else.

That's the human condition. "Well, bad things are always happening to me no matter what I do, So I MUST be the problem"

It was captured well in this poem, good write

Holy hell, powerful.
Well done, I feel it. Every word, I feel

Keep spitting those lines
