"There was a time when..." (1)

this is the beginning of a series... It is about the changing times... Time is most precious, simply because it's not renewable! Every change is not for good.

There was a time,

When my elders said

“There was a time when…”

And I would listen,

Engrossed,

In the slow mutation of times…

Is it progression or transgression?

Our hearts have been casted,

Plastic smiles,

Elastic values,

Remain as ashes…

However very soon,

I shall say too,

“Come over young ones,

Living in the shadow of guns,

There was a time when…”

. a very profound piece of writing, myself ... tradition demands of us many things that are unreasonable ... yet, we must be very gentle and very patient and very understanding and very compassionate ... when we break away from tradition ... because (unfortunately for tradition but fortunately for us), in order to evolve, we have to break away from tradition ... otherwise we'll stagnate ...
