Come!

Come!

A Poem by Khaaki

Come O’ beloved

Has not the hour arrived?

Have you not heard?

The sea calling out to the sun…

The birds chirping their homecomings…

Come O’ Beloved

Have you not seen?

The sky dyed mesmerizingly

in the colors of dusk and love…

And the sun drowning,

in the bosom of the sea…

Come O’ Beloved

Let not thy hushed indifference,

Upset my stormy heart…

The Kardables flaunt their charm,

in their hour of bloom…

What spell is then cast?

That holds our destinies apart…

Come O’ Beloved

Lest the night falls,

And the stars blot the sky,

Let not their cognizance unveil,

The clandestine tryst of hearts…

Come O’ Beloved

My eyes cease to see,

Knowing you cannot be seen…

My ears cease to hear,

Knowing you cannot be heard…

Come O’ Beloved,

My soul is in torment,

My love wilts in wintry air,

And my heart calls out

To you my spring…
