my room

my room

A Poem by Don't find me

get a black bag and fill it up?
but i don't want to tidy you away.
the scattered meteors of cartons and glasses shows me life.
things get lost and we get lost sometimes too.

It seems like a really calm haiku about nature, but it's not a haiku and it's about trash. That's magic. The last line is fantastic. I have such admiration for people who can write short poems.

Ha, who'da thunk cleaning a room would cause an existential crisis? Good write, I didn't see the last line coming, and when it came, I felt it. ahhhh that sounds dirty. I'm sorry.

every time I attempt to clean my room I face loads and loads of little dilemmas- can't seem to throw away the tiniest, seemingly insignificant things.
I feel like throwing away one thing would be throwing away a part of me.

so now I leave well enough alone.

love that last line.
