Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Don't find me

I am many people.

They burst

Furiously from their casings

In my compacted muscular heart,

And spread, like disease,

Through every silvery nerve,

Right down towards my skinny

Fingertips.

Very strong and creative few words, packed with imagery.

its poetry like this that makes me wish i could write better short poems. in a sense, all that is to be said has been said her. the essence of fine poetry, I'd say.

you have some really amazing images in your poems. here i was thrilled by "silvery nerve" the only thing that i wasn't sure about was "muscular" before heart. partly because it's a 3 syllabyl word and slowed the line down but also because it's a little redundant as the heart already is a muscle. sort of like saying "muscular muscle".

but i like what you were saying, like... your heart is supersized. has to be to handle your many selves.

short and powerful. i like your style. reminds me of my wife's poetry.

I like your style
you use great imagery and you get a strong emotional point across in short pieces. It's a hard thing to do.

They burst

Furiously from their casings

Furiously works perfect here.

Nice job, thanks so much for sharing your work
