RelationstepsA Poem by ShadowlilySomething that sprang from a poem my friend shared with me.
So Sweet, So Alone.
Waiting patiently by the phone. Holding his breath, taking that step. He calls, no answer. Maybe she's being kept. She thinks of herself, selfish and scared she ignores. She seen him calling, what is there to say, what's in store? Trying not to be rude, she sends out a text "Is everything Okay?" Waiting patiently for the reply, she crosses her finger and prays away. So sweet, so alone. He waited for her, wanting only to show his love was pure. Again he was denied. Never again will he let himself be embarrassed, he has a cure. Deleting her digits from his device, He erased her ignorance, her selfishness, her vice. Weeks go by, Months soon too. He loved her till he was bitter. Don't let this become you.
