This MomentA Poem by ShadowlilyThe fears of a doctors visit
Withering slowly like a rose with no water
Standing steady like an army refusing to falter Inside I'm shaking like a groom at an alter Will I make it through this moment? Waiting patiently like a summer storm Shifting oddly like an amoebic form Staring blankly like I've been forlorn Will I make it through this moment? Talking surely like a language I've never heard. Reassuring me just like a mother bird. Relief smothers me like faith unstirred All is well like I was told by the doctor's word. I've made it through this moment.
