Ramblings Drei/ CigarettesA Poem by Harlotte CrowAlthough the original Ramblings is not posted, here is Ramblings Drei (Cigarettes).I stood before
a firing squad. I was told I
could hide my eyes. I was shown
a pack of cigarettes. Eyes welled
with tears, I snatched them all. A cigarette
for the day we met. A cigarette
for the smiles we shared. A cigarette
for heartfelt moments. Finally
someone pulled the trigger to mend my broken heart. © 2017 Harlotte Crow |
