seeing you walk down the hall,

with her is so weird.

its like im in some crazy alternate universe,

seeing you with her holding hands.

 

that used to be me.

holding your hand,

hugging you,

kissing you.

 

you used to walk me to class,

hold my hand during lunch,

smile at me like you do to her,

and kiss me.

 

what happened?

im not quite sure.

it wasnt a terrible break up.

no one cried.

 

we just needed some time apart.

but even though we are still friends,

we havent talked since you started dating her,

did you do that to your friends when we were dating?

 

now that i see you with someone else,

i wonder if we looked similar to that.

its weird for me to walk in the halls

without talking to you.

 

do i miss you yet?

yes, but not in the relationship sense,

as long as your happy.

i miss talking to you the most.

 

i dont know how long this will last,

i hope not forever,

because i miss talking to you,

i miss my best friend that i fell in love with

and the guy i see walking in the halls with her,

is not him.

 

i dont miss our relationship,

but yes,

i do miss you.
