goodbye childhood.

goodbye childhood.

A Poem by harley

as im painting my room,

i realize,

im painting away the last bit of my childhood left in my room,

which has looked the same since i was 8 years old.

at first it doesnt seem like such a big deal,

but once i realize that it is,

i dont even know what to think besides,

wow im growing up.

growing up means saying goodbye to all of the memories,

my friends and i had in there,

drawing and coloring all over the wall.

its crazy how fast we grow up,

one second im a little kid with no worries,

and the next im a teenager that is getting ready to leave for college

in a couple of years.

but for now i have pictures to look back on and memories in my head,

my little girl room is gone now,

it reflects what i have become,

and who i am now.

Good theme. Universal and one of my favortes. Well constructed. I use a similar style. Very effective:)
