Truth

Truth

A Poem by Phantasmagoric Perceptions
"

I'm alive, but I'm alone.

"
Endlessly, the oceans flow on
Filling the surface of the newborn planet
It forms the glass skin of the children of earth
Who had for so long, had thrown stones at each other

The once wild tribes of indigenous youth
Kneel at the feet of a shadowed mountain
They raise their hands to cry out to it,
It is the answer to things they do not understand

There's a flash of light, brilliant and unknown
Blinded, I have never seen so clearly
This remarkable truth that I have found
And the others refuse to see

They are slaves to themselves, while I am free
I run to them, and shake their chains
Desperate to release them from their vice
To baptize them in the waters of untainted reality

Their paradigm is too strong
The delusions overcome them, and they succumb
Alas, I turn and walk away
They sounds of their sorrow at my back
