Nightmares

Nightmares

A Poem by Phantasmagoric Perceptions

I see faces in the sand
And time slips away
Flowing through curved space
Simply passing me by

I reach out to you with a crooked hand
And you slip away
You can't even look me in the face
You simply pass me by

I hear the trees screaming-
But their voices never escape
They grin and bear the pain
As their branches twist and break

I wake up from dreaming
From a nightmare I couldn't escape
I'm reaching for you, and you're there-
And I am finally awake.
