Conform to My RebellionA Poem by Phantasmagoric PerceptionsAddressing the world's iminent self-destructionShe screams through bloodshot eyes,
"WHAT THE F**K IS HAPPENING HERE?" She's sober, but she's staggering now- The atmosphere is weighing her down. So many blank stares... From countless wild eyes, Tell her, "No, you're not alone. We're all living in this lie." She cries out, "Don't you want to be like me? Wonderful in my anonymity. Hollow in all my desolation, As I breathe in the desecration. Come on, friends, let's start a riot- 'Cause it's not a trend until you buy it. Come on, release your inner hellion- Conform to my rebellion!" "Who are we to decide what is real?" She screams to the thoughtless norm. "Everything is always the same- I THINK I'VE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE! Spoiler alert- WE ALL DIE. We're all wiped out And no one survives. So come on, and wake up- Or sit down, and SHUT THE F**K UP I'm tired of all this mindless disease! Are you even listening?" She cries out, "Don't you want to be like me? Wonderful in my anonymity. Hollow in all my desolation, As I breathe in the desecration. Come on, friends, let's start a riot- 'Cause it's not a trend until you buy it. Come on, release your inner hellion- Conform to my rebellion!" "End all of this useless violence! it's never solved anything! Look at this world that God created! We're screwing up EVERYTHING!" Her words fall on deafened ears, And spoken through lips sewn shut- She's doomed to dwell in a heartless place, That thrives in the s**t and corrupt. And so, the lone anarchist falls, Her cries echoing through history's halls. But will anyone remember her? The girl who tried to save the world... She cried out, "Don't you want to be like me? Wonderful in my anonymity. Hollow in all my desolation, As I breathe in the desecration. Come on, friends, let's start a riot- 'Cause it's not a trend until you buy it. Come on, release your inner hellion- Conform to my rebellion!" © 2008 Phantasmagoric Perceptions |
