The Burning EarthA Poem by Phantasmagoric PerceptionsI watched the Earth go up in flames, And held her ashes in my hand; The beautiful planet steeped in filth and decay, Ran rampant with the rogues and damned.
The fire burned for years on end, Leaving nothing but a shell; As the remnants of a funeral pyre, Paradise turned to Hell.
Nothing green grew on the plains, For they were charred beyond repair, Nothing took root in the brimston and flames, No life could flourish there...
This burning Earth housed chaos and disorder, And oh, did chaos reign... Demons and angels fought to the death, The tide switching with each turn of night to day.
The blackened depths of Hell's take-over Stretched over far and wide; The entire planet was but a husk, And nothing was left alive....
