New Colors, New Life

New Colors, New Life

A Poem by Phantasmagoric Perceptions
"

I've seen so many new colors lately, and I wish I could show you them all....

"

I’m melting slowly into this

This lovely, burning, glowing mess

Freed up of all this ugly distress

I’m leaning forward, shouting, “YES!”

My lips come loose with a sigh of peace

Pondering this sweet release

Praying for it to never cease

Begging… Please…

The sun touches my smiling face

And all the shadows are erased

In your heart, I’ve found a place

And with you I long to escape

Your hand in mine is unreal

As are all of these things I feel

The rind outside me has started to peel

Diamonds on my heart of steel

What is this you’ve done to me?

To make me open, to make me breathe?

What are all these colors that I see?

You are my new everything…
