Without You, I Am Me

Without You, I Am Me

A Poem by Phantasmagoric Perceptions

Without You, I Am Me
-------------------------------------------

I hear your voice
In the darkness, in the night
And I know it's my choice
But what if I don't choose right?
Where else can I go,
Since I've made your heart my home?
You threw me out
And locked the door behind me

{Who am I...
Without you in my life?
Who am I without you?
I'm nobody, that's who.
Nobody, that's who}

How can I sleep
When you're always standing over me?
Are you making sure
That I'm not going to leave?
And you know I can't breathe
With your hands around my neck
I'm sinking slowly...
You're suffocating me, but-

{Who am I...
Without you in my life?
Who am I without you?
I'm nobody, that's who.
Nobody, that's who}

I've buried myself
In this ever-growing hole
And I'd sell myself
If I could rescue you from Hell
But what does
It mean
If you wouldn't do the same for me?

{Who am I...
Without you in my life?
Who am I without you?
I don't know what to do...
I can't run away from you...}
