Once again,

Our planet circled the sun panting,

Crackers made cracks in the sky wall,

Pubs drowned with emotional cocktails,

Shrines choked with surreal resolutions;

 

Once again,

Wrinkles add up to our skin cart,

Our breath subtract from the cosmic box,

A drop evaporates from our life vessel,

Countdown echoes from the nearby necropolis;

 

Once again,

UN quantifies the vestiges of war,

Leaders lull us into serene lullabies,

pistols parade in the gandhian streets,

paupers peep through broken windows;

 

Once again,

Change romances with changelessness,

Time traumatizes the timelessness,

Hearts crawl under ignorant wreckage,

Existence flirts with death;
