Gravity, a Christmas poem

Gravity, a Christmas poem

A question in despair

Mamma Mamma when will you come?

Christmas is near and Santa is about to come,

Will you come to see our Christmas tree?

Decorated with bells and toys

And crib with lamps and snow;

Santa will ask ‘Where is mamma?’

He will not give me toys if you fail to come.

Last time you promised me a Christmas mamma

But you became a January mamma,

Same thing will happen this time too?

What is the whole point of being alone here?

I and Papa, we are alone here mamma!

I’m tired of his stories, same Red nosed Reindeer

He is not gifted in story telling, no aptitude

Rather I would tell him stories, nice ones.

He keeps on lying “mamma will come soon’

Did Miss complain about me? So that you became angry,

I didn’t crumple Jane’s pencil nor hid her ribbon

Nowadays I am not mischievous but a smart boy,

You told me I would get a sister soon, but where?

I’m desperately waiting, when will you come to see me?

Who will sing me a song on Christmas Eve?

Who will bake me a nice Christmas cake?

Who will tell me stories before my bed time?

It’s very cold over here, come mamma and hug me

And give me a kiss, I’m waiting for you.

Papa also wants to see you,

What is a space station all about, a play station?

Then buy me some toys if you don’t mind

And bring a Selfie with Santa if he really comes there

We are alone here, mamma

Come to us, come one, we are waiting for you.

An answer in tears

O! Mamma’s sweet son, how long I wish to see you

Mamma will come very very soon,

Let the Russian spacecraft come,

We will sing with merry Santa.

Mamma has two new stories, you know, to tell you,

About the polar bears in the frosty land

And how they welcomed Santa on the Christmas Eve

And on Christmas day you will be in Mamma’s hug.

Mamma will give you thousand kisses,

And Papa will hug us both together

And infant Jesus will bless us all.

How is your lazy papa, isn’t he lazy my dear?

O my smart son, mamma is not angry

When I bake you nice cakes, you will invite Jane too,

You know all the time mamma things of you

And mamma’s eyes become wet when see the bluish Earth

And I wish to hug the beautiful Earth above me

Because you, my dream, is breathing on it.

Would you like to have a singing Robot

Or like to have a toy space station with nice UFOs

Mamma will buy you nice ones.

Don’t feel bad my sweetest child

Mamma will come to you very very soon

It is promise, so that mamma urges the shuttle to come soon,

And they know that my heart is on Earth, take care.

Hey readers! You know what the matter is?

You know why does the story go like this?

Because GRAVITY…that means a lot

Like a space instinct…

And like a sweet motherhood, that’s all…

Wish you a merry Christmas

Bye Bye…
