Phone callA Story by harishbabufrom my diary " Far from O. Henry and Maupassant"
Agony.
I got a call from my publishers in the morning. "Sir, we have a complaint about your stories. They are too long. Please write small stories. Our readers are of small scale literature. They don't have time at all" Really?. Then I will tell you a small story right now on the phone .publish it." "OK sir" " Once a girl lived in this world.Till yesterday. She died yesterday on the street in Delhi at about eleven thirty five in the night. Think yourself about how she died.It is up to you. I leave it to your conscience..here ends my story" "OK? publish it." "OK sir .Thanks.Thanks a lot" "See you bro. Take care.Bye" I prepared and went to Delhi to attend my dearest DEAREST sister's funeral with agony.
