for second chances

The oceans are waiting
And I'm on the shore
Before I drown again, I want to be sure.

That the waves will embrace me and take me away.
Wash the pain, take me away,

I taste perfection when it's not really the best,
I can't feel my heart 'cause it's been put into test.

I will live by it
Make it worth my trials,
Make me hang on, make me stay here,
While you walk away.

And back.
And forth.
And back again.

I'm waiting for the last trip to take me home
Where I could be with you and you alone

Are you on your way too?
Or are you hoping for your rocking chair to move you?

And I'm looking through a pair of eyes, wishing it were yours
Wishing it would look my way, even through closed doors.

But at least blow me away.

A little less or a little more,
We're running back to the fire, is there anything left to save?
There are lessons to learn, touch them and get burned

So don't drown me in yet, and I will not turn us to ashes
The storm will calm, the world shall stand still.

And we shall run away from it all.

We wouldn't really begin from nothing.
There was nothing lost.

Let's start with love and never end.
