Fallen Stars

Fallen Stars

A Poem by kelvin

Shooting stars have no refuge, for they’re simply cast outs from the crisp clear nightly sky.
These once were proud and illusively bright stars that twinkled beautifully in the mist of the big milky way.
Like the Morse code these stars flicker lighted signals speaking down to us in their own special way.
I found that nightly rains are the tears of depressed stars within the sky that cry as their bright light that once burned so brightly goes dim before they fall from the sky.
A star that is ridiculed by its own kind will sometimes lose its fight to live like some of we humans tend to.
As a star falls to earth and disintegrates it has one last wish to give.
So wish upon a star

I wish................................................................................................................

Now, I will just have to wait to see if it comes true.

You have written a magical piece of poetry here, it reads like a fairytale....for adults
and the 'wish upon a star' is THE END!

I really liked where you were going with this one Mr K

Love that the falling star has one wish to give. The Morse code reference is also nicely done. Shooting stars as refugees cast out - love that. Good job.

Well thank you for your nice thoughts here I really appreciate it.
Wow, most unique write of 'wish upon a star'...how could a star be an outcast I wonder, hmmm, yes we see it all the time in real life. 'Depressed star' is a new take here, never would of thought of that. Nicely pen'd kelvin, most enjoyed this one.

Shooting stars are rare and prized sights. I always wish wish on one, hoping for the best.
Their death is glory.

Welcome
Lovely. This really catches one's imagination and transports it.
*I saw several ways the interpretation of this can go.. A magical place where astral objects feel as we do.. Or metaphors of someone once famous and loved, that has been forgotten.

I really liked this one. Very descriptive and it reads much like a fairy tale. Which brings out the dreamy child in all of us. :)

*after reading the reviews, I see Sami found many more ways to interpret it than I. :)

This one is so beautiful and touching . Fallen stars can mean fallen people, soldiers, family members and even fallen humanity . They all give a final signal , a message of sorts to us that to keep hoping for a new one to be born and not despair in our darkest hours . So much sadness and positivism at the end in this piece . Bravo ...you have created a starlet piece ....:)
