A Poem by kelvin

As I inhale I take a deep breath and I smell the sweet smell of honey suckle that’s been baked from the warmth of the sun, which leaves the air having a nice pleasant sugary smell.

The warm sun reflects off the moisture on the flowers and trees looking as if they were diamonds dripping on the ground in the lovely windy breeze.

Birds of all breeds collaborate together to chirp and make song, while I listen to the wind chimes bang together from the breeze as the dew drops like tears off the gutters falling into a half empty pail to make tunes for the perfect bird song.

I stretch my arms and I yawn as the sun blows its warm breath and talks to the wind. I can feel it softly caress my skin like I had the finest masseuse massaging my body in a summer eve’s wind.

I nod my head and I wave to say hi, as I take a sip of my favorite beverage from my favorite cup and watch the traffic goers wave back to me as they ride by, for I wonder what destination before them awaits.

they imagery you conveyed in this poem is absolutely exquisite. love the fact that one sits back in enjoying their moment of being in a reverie while the world zooms by them. this poem sort of reminds me to "remember to stop and smell the flowers", kind of saying. great write, pen on :))

This brings to mind summer evenings back in Georgia. Maybe it's the honeysuckle; we had a patch of it growing in our backyard. Thank you for sharing this and bringing back find memories.

Nature appeases all senses and how... Your lovely poetry and awesome imagery tells it all.
Wonderful to read. Especially in a time when we just keep rushing and pushing our way through, thinking of what needs to be done next in our bloody daily grind.
