You have depicted the cycle of life very beautifully. Rain rises from the earth and dissappears back into earth after fulfilling it's life-giving purpose. Dust unto dust. Rain is a celeberation of life. But it can also turn acid and lash us to a violent devastating end if we stretch Nature beyond limit. Great poem on Rain Kelvin.

I'm not sure how you can make that statement 'isn't very much here' you captured the circle of life in your beautiful words. Beautifully pen'd kelvin.

It can be calm and very pleasant,
and lets not forget wild and very deadly,
as we have the pure nature to be tranquil
and very deadly.
At some point the rain dies and then it dries
back to the earth, as we do when we die
we go back to the earth.
-- this is exquisite in both being profound and unique imagery. this whole poem is wonderfully penned. very descriptive and an enjoyable read, thanks for sharing!

This is unique with a lot of factual information on life and death and its relationship to rain and clouds . You create some good observations. Keep writing and raining on us with your needy rain... :)

Thank you very much fellow writer i really appreciate it.
What we do in life when we describe our lives is perceive those actions and objects around us, and compare them with what we already know. Aristotle noticed this, that men generally describe one thing in terms of another 2500 years ago. He never did anything with It, however he did call it metaphor. For 2500 years it has more then anything else been just a part of speech. There have been studies of late that have proven that metaphor is a cognitive process. It is a process that every man is born with, and it has over the period of time man has been on the earth become the basic infrastructure of all his cultures and languages. very very good poem..........thanks for sharing.

My favourite type of writing is anything that makes me react. This did that.
I just love it all to be honest, AND the tone is gentle and then rapid in places..like rain! only noticed that halfway through. The very last stanza is my favourite, and a perfect way to end a perfect poem. x

Thank you very much for your kind thoughts here I'm so glad you liked it
It isn't very much? These cycles of life, we live, we die...a sweet conversion as the rain, it pours, it lives, it seeps into the earth and dries, but not before it gives nourishment, as our rain gives to the soul. I think there is a lot here, we can learn a lot of ourselves from nature...as we are a part of the nature in which we live.
Superb pen, one of my favorites :)
