Half best and half worst

Half best and half worst

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

Half best and half worst

There was nothing absolutely good,
And nothing entirely bad in my life,
That was consisted of ordinary morning and routined evening,
Before you came,
You told, I was
Like a drawing room in a middle class house
Never perfect,
Just as a skilled home maker
Shifts the sofa-set and living room couch,
The paintings of this wall and show cases of that side,
The colors of curtains,
And paper weight on central tables,
You shifted
My way of thinking into my way of walking,
My nose into my ears,
My brain into my heart and vice vers,
And you became
At the same time,
Best and the worst person in my life,
This is how I wanted you, you smiled for a while
And than cried
Why are you so artificial!
And started measuring
The every inch of lies my mind told,
And every thread of dream my heart made,
The inches of lies are blank.,
And threads of dreams may look empty,
But together they could have made,
The best and worst creations,
But after you,
Best and worst things have become identical,
And the road of continuity smiles,
To search the reasons,
And my life, which became only
Half best and half worst
kept on walking for infinity
Just to search either
The other half best or the other half worst .

I believe love requires limitless patience and understanding. If you stop believing that it will work, it is not love. If you continuously stand and fight for it, continuously adjust with each other to make the relationship work, fix everything for the best, it is true love.

thanks a lot Emily
I wonder how often we get attracted to the positive side of a person, but the relationship flourishes only when we start to respect the differences. Good write though....

Something which is changing and manipulating and not accepting you for who you are may cause lot of hurt.

yes, you are right Avinash Thank you dear
Love is hard work and both people have to be committed to the job of making a relationship flourish. It can’t work if it’s all about the needs and desires of one and never of the other. How sad it is that the takers in a relationship never really know the soul illuminating, fill up your heart to overflowing joy of selfless love.

Hard to be perfect. All of us carry a dark side.

All we can is walk the good road and hope for a happy ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
