“WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA” (the world),
Socialist, Secular and Democratic, who believe in
Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity,
Are now standing on a great wall of Intolerance,
And it is the only man-made thing,
That can be seen from space, although
I know WE have never visited space.
But our satellites are showing us this demon wall,
And our news channels are explaining it in broad terms.
You can hear our leaders and famous personalities
Competing with one another to condemn it.
And our ears are full of its sound,
And our nose can smell it everywhere.
Even when we bathe,
The water and soap seem to be rejected by our bodies.
But when you visit my street,
Or any other Indian (or world) street,
You will witness harmony among the people,
And you may wonder where you will find
The foundations of that infamous wall.
If every street can show harmony,
Why not every city? Every state? Every country?
A amazing poem. I liked it.
"You will witness harmony among the people,
And you may wonder where you will find
The foundations of that infamous wall.
If every street can show harmony,
Why not every city? Every state? Every country?"
I like the positive words above. Thank you for sharing your joy and happiness for your country.

So very well written...but I feel this tolerance and intolerance debate is nothing but a political agenda to divert our attention from more important issues...
I write this blog about the issues of our country in a sarcastic way...

We humans have disturbed the fabric of life by subjecting ourselves to media, politics, religion and rules.
If we could imagine a world without them, there would have been no boundaries or so called intolerance.
We would have been just human beings. A wonderful write my friend.
getting educated.... believing in humanity is one thing we could do feed the poor, help the needy , excel in whatever we do... and support every form of skill or talent from singing to space exploration... together we march through darkness to light.. do not care what the world thinks about we need to show that we are peace loving...proud to be indian jai hind frm kerala
Hardeep Sabharwal describes himself as person of few words. He is one of millions of middle class Indians who do not have any ideology; they only want to live a peaceful life. The thing that hurts him.. more..
