Routine of Love and Self-respectA Poem by hardeep sabharwal
This morning or that,
When the sun rises over the horizon, The taste of fish curry and omelet, Cooked by mother's delicious hands, On the breakfast table will tell you That the routine of Love and Self-Respect Refused to follow the routine of heavenly forces, Unlike the days when I chose Self-Respect instead of Love, And returned to open and Repair the pages of Love. Now Love, like a s**t, Sits in KFC and Domino, In multiplexes and bus stands, Like a cabaret dancer's skin show, Moving from one room to another, While Self-Respect Sits and waits for death Under the target files, In bribes and unethical behavior, Under the boss's honey-coated insults, In the receipts of school expenses. And it will not be so astonishing if You will not listen to anything and will lose yourself again In the taste of omelet and fish curry, And, in a hurry, Follow the routine of life. © 2015 hardeep sabharwalFeatured Review
