Matrix

Matrix

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

This year, I met a guy,
In the same old mirror,
Who boasted of becoming,
Imago from larva,
Showing wings of flight,
Same footpaths and same sleepers,
Just with a curious new smile,
And a vision which took,
All the old color patterns,
In a new dimension,
Like a brush of magic,
That can paint even dreams you know,
And a hope to change horizons ,
Just then he saw,
A grey haired shadow,
As if it were his clone,
Walking ahead and ahead,
But still at the same place,
And suddenly the clone shadow,
Become ubiquitous,
And the grey color over shadowed,
The painting of dreams,
He shouted, How can I?
Became a part of this,
And the matrix of life smiled.

ahh something to think about was the matrix of life smiling because the muse still hadn't come to terms with the fact that he was already part of it - it was in fact only the I in he who seperated himself from the rest of the world ?

Intriguing and thought provoking

I like the length of each line too :)

Thanks x

Thankyou so much Dipanjan
Ageing is inevitable and accepting it is the growth. We feel bad when we do not grow as much as our age in terms of understanding the laws of nature and life. But here you have done a fine job my friend.

You are welcome, sir...:).......
It is a very deep and well written reflection with mythological references about the inevitability of aging and death ( Larva, in Roman mythology, is a spirit of the dead, associated with darkness and its dread.) "Image of larva..." I have had to read it twice with attention

Is my interpretation correct?
