Love and Dust

Love and Dust

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

Nothing lasts, you said, gently tying,
The laces of your fashionable jogging shoes,
With a glistening in your eyes,
That put our love in the morgue,
As if love was a race just to win a medal,
My mouth was filled with the dust of your words,
Like a modern prep student, I nodded,
The April sky laughed,
The blossoming flower's fragrance screamed,
In the most beautiful municipal park of city
Come, take some rest,
My bed ' s arm welcomed,
The puzzled street lamp covered with
Chase of moth ' s love,
Laughing on the post modern notions
Your words are true perhaps,
About the finiteness of all things,
Even of love, as you said,
Eternal is just, an ancient word,
But my heart shouted, you know,
One thing is there, that still last forever,
And I changed myself into dust,
To make my love everlasting.

Eternal is just, an ancient word,
But my heart shouted, you know,
One thing is there, that still last
forever,
And I changed myself into dust,
To make my love everlasting.

these lines are really beautiful Hardeep. To make your love eternal taking the form of dust is firstlt everseen nice job.

Interesting thought to transcend from the finite confines of the reality! The beauty of life is that love can be shared with different entity. It is finite but the ability is infinite, I guess.
This is a brilliant write Hardeep, my friend! Feels like all the world is brought together, minute to huge; and draped in these few lines here.

Thanks Sindu for a nice review
that was amazing. but the questioner is also true.. even i also thought the same..that everything has a limited time period and ultimately would end. as in the relation's case, indians think wedding is the thing that would make them united forever..so, now no, there are divorces. anyone will think that way. we just need to think both the cases (love forever and love finite) exist..depending on the partner. :)

I do not think love lasts forever. It is a transition phrase. But I like your poem. I like the feeling of the last lines.

Nothing lasts, my friend - Nether love nor pain. That's the beauty of life :).
I loved the lines :
"But my heart shouted, you know,
One thing is there, that still last forever,
And I changed myself into dust,
To make my love everlasting."

Good write :)..

Your imagery is really evocative in this peace. That life just keeps going on, the sun keeps on shining, and the flowers keep smelling sweet can just seem so wrong when our hearts are breaking. It's a tale of such sadness. Really great line: "The April sky laughed,"

NOTES: There is no space before or after an apostrophe, as in words like "bed's" and "moth's"
Maybe these lines would flow better thusly:
"With a glistening in your eyes"
"That put our love in the morgue,"

You're welcome.
Beloveds always talk like a philosophers on the matter of love. They have sixth senses so they understand any appeal made to them. An urge of love and time-spending jolly make them more attentive and wise talking like orators. So this is the outcome of their natural inborn quality to express as has been expressed in your poem. There is vivid description of nature. The last lines are witty yet remarkable in the matter ..Let's enjoy the wordings....

Eternal is just, an ancient word,
But my heart shouted, you know,
One thing is there, that still last forever,
And I changed myself into dust,
To make my love everlasting.

Nice reading .Keep writing my dear friend..
Have a nice time!
