QuestA Poem by hardeep sabharwalHindi version published in Amar Ujala 12 August 2004 English version in Larcenist s coming issue in october 2014
Heart, like a child,
pursuing for the Lamp of Aladin, And in this quest, I have lost glare of vitality, And accomplished around an eclipse, The longing to acquire Kamdhenu, still operative in my deep soul, and this hunt propelled me, away from my own, Made me stand blameworthy, in the dock of all eyes, Despite the wishes persist discontented, My flesh is ravenous for the shade of Kalpvriksh, And in this hunger, I have seared my soul In the desert of isolation, For achieving Chintamani stone, What my pains and longing added Though the chase deducted, Diamonds of friends and relatives, Slowly and slowly. © 2014 hardeep sabharwalAuthor's Note
