the letter

the letter

A Poem by i wish to win you with a letter

i am no wordsmith but nor do i strive to be.

but then of course that proves the hypocrite inside of me.

i wish to win you with a letter.

one that shows to you that i can be better.

i hope that one day you will be mine.

but i hope that day come before we die.

ooh thats really good. kind of short although i think if you tried to expand on it, you might lose some of the direct reasons on the whole letter idea. and i think that the beginning stanza is great. but it doesn't really go with the rest of the poem to me. because you're talking about what you hope to do with the letter to the girl. and when you state that you're not a good "wordsmith", its just not very relevant to the poem. but i think your rhyming was great and everything else but the first two sentences is perfect!
