the butterfly speaks

the butterfly speaks

A Poem by i wish to win you with a letter
"

you can hear a million rumors but the beautiful person is the one who doesnt say anything at all.

"

the butterfly flys off to a million places

the butterfly flys and sees a million faces

the butterfly thinks and

the butterfly knows

the butterfly was small but then had to grow

the butterfly hears and

the butterfly thinks

but never will you hear

that butterfly speak

I love this, Sarah...I don't know why, but this makes me think of the fact that if we are not guilty in a situation that we do not have to defend or avenge ourselves. There is someone much greater than any of us that does that for us in His own time, if we don't do it ourselves.

A rumor is defined:

1. a story or statement in general circulation without confirmation or certainty as to facts: a rumor of war.
2. gossip; hearsay: Don't listen to rumor.
3. Archaic. a continuous, confused noise; clamor; din.
verb (used with object)
4. to circulate, report, or assert by a rumor: It is rumored that the king is dead.

Rumors are just that..."Rumors..." They still-however, have the potential to be deadly in that they can destroy a person's reputation. Many are duped into "listening" and it is to their own chagrin, especially when they find out it wasn't true after all and they were duped by someone that was jealous and spreading vicious lies. It never pays.

The innocent really don't have to say much. They just have to wait for the scenario to play out and let the chips fall where they may and they will end up falling on the behalf of the one the rumor was started about. The innocent come up smelling like roses.

This is a beautiful write. :-)
