She's Hurt and Broken

She's Hurt and Broken

A Poem by HappySad
"

A continuation from the Great Hemingway's saddest six words. A friend of mine lost her baby and is in constant pain from a tragic autoimmune disease.

"

For Sale…Baby Shoes…Never Worn

She’s  broken screaming at the stars.

Was it something that I missed?

Yes this is directed at you…God I’m pissed.

My Heart is Torn

There’s already so much pain.

Sitting alone she questions why she was put onto this plane and into an existence

where the agony is more persistent than her day to day breath.

There’s been so much taken away, a continual struggle.

Then this, her pride and joy.

Tears running down her face she collapses begging

Please…Stop…There’s nothing left.

Hemingway said it right. Greatest sorrow is losing a child. Even in men. My father had 11 children. The one child who die at one year old. Broke his heart the most. Your words in the poem. I have seen. Sisters had lost babies and a 7 year old. A forever lost. Powerful words written dear Poet.
