The Goddess Waited

The Goddess Waited

A Poem by HappySad
"

We met and I stumbled

"

I saw you.

You saw me.

A simple smile with our eyes.

My imagination flew through the skies.

We talked for a time.

Your heavenly voice was the key.

My loves, locked door opened.

My trapped heart suddenly freed.

We had a date.

I was scared.

I made a mistake.

All alone.

I left you there.

Leaving a date stranded alone. Poor date. Fear is a hard thing to defeat. Fear of opening up and showing real face. Can be difficult. But we must. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry and your thoughts.
