Bed and Brekfast

Bed and Brekfast

A Poem by Madame Mystique
"

A little girl makes breakfast for her sick mother

"

Bed and Breakfast

“Mama I will treat you for breakfast”

Doctor said she needed rest

Three weeks to be exact.

“Thanks dear you’re an angel”

Her back aching with pain

She overdid it as usual.

“Today no fruits and yogurt”

She wanted to make something different

Scrambled eggs with sun dried tomatoes, basil and feta.

“It should not be so hard”

Suddenly everything turned wrong

By cutting her fingers and burning their food

“Honey are you ok?”

Getting out of bed

Her mother walked to the kitchen.

“Mommy I ruined our breakfast”

She said among sobs and tears

Flustered and ashamed she hid from her biggest hero.

“Sweetheart you tried your best”

She kissed her daughter’s tears away

Telling her that everything will be ok.

“But what do we eat now?”

They ended eating fruits and yogurt

Breakfast was served.
