Midnight Snacking

Midnight Snacking

A Poem by Madame Mystique

A girl ponders about her current relationship status

Midnight Snacking

They came back from a party

Ravenous and thirsty

Damn Tequila Shots!

She set the tea kettle

While he made their snacks

A midnight snack became a must.

He was focused and quiet

She noticed from the kitchen counter

She decided to sit on.

She often wondered their position

Were they friends or close strangers?

Did he not know that she loved him so?

A sudden whistle interrupted her concept

Who was she to ask?

Friends or lovers… Never mind she enjoyed his company anyway.
