A Poem by Madame Mystique

Indigenous Outline

A bonfire wailed to life
A small clan gathered together
Beneath thundering firmaments.

Their dance shouted for rain
They were in dire need of crops
Drums were beaten and primitive magic was casted.

With a final wolf like howl
The rain finally approached
After this ceremony things would certainly change.

An elder shaman looked at his successor
A mutt of races and history
They would not go easy on her.

She was disliked by many
Not fully knowing why
Was it her blood or her gender?

They insisted it was ill luck
But the senior told them otherwise
The clouds forecasted him a great premonition.

He was aware of her latent wisdom
Despite her young exterior
Her eyes gleamed with enigmatic knowledge.

With a stern focused look
He realized it won’t be too bad
Change was good and it was here.
