Runaway Habibi

Runaway Habibi

A Poem by Madame Mystique
"

A young girl escapes an arranged marriage

"
Runaway Habibi

Run little one,
While your legs are strong
Don't give up on your freedom.

Never look back with regret
Flee youthful Habibi
You are far too young.

This man you are to wed
Has gold and riches
But to him
You're another of his b*****s.

We'll meet again dear,
Maybe in heaven
Where happiness is guaranteed.

Beautiful, heartfelt piece...:)
The freedom you give to your habibi is compassion encapsulated....:)
Indeed, no-one should ever have to endure such an experience....and here you free the protagonist from their fate.....:)
I wonder if you ever had to flee such a fate yourself?

Thanks for sharing....:)
