To Hades

To Hades

A Poem by dan nacario

Now that thine ears welcomed Charon's mute cries,
And sad-tuned air of the palace thou ow'st,
Shall I still fall beneath Cerberus' eyes?
Forever the fairest Olympus lost,
My spirit long for the ambrosia's kiss,
Not sweet pomegranate in languished garden,
Will thou let me depart with learned Hermes?
For bitter winter shall never weaken.

You bring out Greek Mythology well in this write, I like this. Especially liking this line here:
"Oh! Her eyes shed pearls but her heart still sleeps,"
