Questions at bedtimeA Poem by New Dawnchildrens poemThere was an old woman who lived in a shoe 'A shoe mummy? Well what did she do? She whipped all her children and put them to bed Couldn't she have used the 'naughty step' instead?
Humpty
Dumpty sat on a wall how high was it mum Did he fall? Yes, he fell and you know what happened then? They couldn't put Humpty together again. Well maybe all his yoke leaked out on the ground he wouldn't stand a chance with toast soldiers around.
Jack and Jill went up the hill.. to get water from the well but jack wasn't careful was he mum he slipped and both of them fell. Perhaps an adult should have gone to bring the water back, or better still call the water board and get themselves a tap.
The owl and the p***y-cat went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat. Was the boat then made of peas mum and if so could it float and how do you wrap your money up inside a five pound note and why choose honey instead of jam and did they have a coat?
So many questions little one running around your head, I am not tired really mum I don't want to go to bed! But if you insist I'll go to sleep if you can tell me how the cow jumped over the moon, mum? the MOON, mum, a Cow! © 2013 New DawnAuthor's Note
