Unconscious Confessions

Unconscious Confessions

A Poem by Hanna McGivern
"

Quite a dark, introspective rage sort of piece.

"

Just going to lie there and watch my eyes close.

Watch my silent tears

fill the confusion that wishes

to force its way into your

pathetic white boy face, spoilt by

mummy's money.

No tears for you because

you gave them to me and

watched as I lay silent to your

silent violence.

It is not alright because I do not love you.

I wish you were drowning like I was

on that starless night

under a label that gave me concrete feet

and threatens to suffocate the numb.

Your crime gave me so much time.

Silent panic strangles my mind

as empty places aren't enough

for the memories you withhold.

Silent wishes to claw at your

half-hearted grasp on a limp body

that used to be mine.
