Eyes Opened

Eyes Opened

A Poem by H.D.Aloyon

I've been sitting here, thinking of those sweet memories

Been trying to forget, letting go of this

so don't you dare think its you I'm gonna miss

Coz I'm done here, I'm giving you a goodbye kiss

I'm tired of hearing your accusations

I'm sick of your empty admirations

CHORUS:

I'll be running away from your voice

Your welcoming arms that have sharp thorns

I'm breaking your bondage, that's my choice

Oh no, I'm not torn between you and the good light

I know what I'm doing is right

I'll stand up and I'll run the race

will think about the price with ribbons and laces

I would love to see your distorted face

when you see me in those glorious days

I'm tired of believing your filthy lies

I've already seen that clever disguise

BRIDGE

I feel sorry for you

you've already fallen, there's nothing you can do

you try to tear me down with you

but I'm not blind anymore
