PrologueA Chapter by Black_FoxTime’s
Mistake Prologue It was a cold December night. In a
huge mansion not far from society there was a family. Not just any family. This
family was the noble family of the queen, the Lux family. It was on this night
that the second son was born. Crying was heard on the top floor of this mansion
and you can hear the painful groans of the mistress of the house. Now outside
the doors where the baby was being born was a boy. He was the eldest son and as
he stood there he grew bored. He was only seven years of age and so his boredom
would lead to some trouble. Instead of staying near the door as his father had instructed
him, he went outside into the cold night. This was his first mistake that would
change his life for the worse. He had forgotten to lock the door on his way
out. He really didn’t think that anything could happen if he kept it unlock. So
he went on his way to the garden out back to explore. While the eldest son roam around a stranger
approach the now unlock door. This stranger was not someone close to the family
and shouldn’t have known about the lessen security of the place. The uninvited guest
walks into the manor and head straight for the Mistress of the house. If the
eldest son had never left his spot at the door maybe he would have been able to
help prevent an event such as this from happening. The mansion was lit ablaze
by the stranger that stood outside while the mistress and her husband along
with their newborn child burn. The eldest son notice too late as the screams of
his mother and brother reach his ears. Oh the agonizing screams that will
always haunt him to the day of his death. 11
years later~ The day was bright and you could see
no signs of clouds, just a clear sky. This is a perfect day to go outside for
almost anyone; anyone except Avian Lux. Currently Avian was attending classes.
It was not just any class; it was history, his worst class. “Why do we need to learn about the
past?” mumble Avian. He was feeling upset on this nice day. You see Avian hates
nice days such as these and would always complain about every little thing.
Right now he is complaining about his school project that he finds boring. “I would like it if you all go to a
museum and look at famous pirate paintings and such and get your report done by
tomorrow,” Mr. Borin instruct. Oh how Avian hates the museum. It reminds him of
what he uses to do with his family and that would always make him burst out in
tears. Avian raise his hand at the teacher, hoping that the teacher will excuse
him from going to a museum. “Yes, Mr. Lux?” question Mr. Borin. His
face is blank as he calls on Avian but if you look close you can see traces of
annoyance. You can even hear some of the venom lace in his words as he calls on
him. “May I be excuse from going to the
museum?” Avian ask as politely as he can. He even put up a fake smile.
Unfortunately for him the answer he got was a big fat no on the board. Mr.
Borin just likes to make him miserable and so Avian doesn’t want to put up with
this no longer. “Of course not! You must go or you’ll
get an F,” Mr. Borin reply. This put him in a sour mood. Or at least a lot sourer
then he was originally in. He got up and left the classroom not caring if he misses
something important. What can he miss anyways? They are just going to review
everything again. Instead of heading straight home like he thought he would he
went to the museum. “Let’s get this over with,” Avian
complains. He walks to the pirate section of the museum. While walking he saw
something that caught his fancy or interest. It is a black rock of some sort
but for some reason he feels a sense of nostalgia while looking at it. To
others that stone would look like a regular black stone, but to Avian it looks
ancient and important. Avian takes a closer look at the artifact and was going
to touch it until someone screams at him.
“Young man, you shouldn’t be
touching things here! They can be dangerous, even that stone,” the man
explains. Avian brushes the man off and touches the stone anyways. He is
tracing the marks on the stone. Then and there Avian felt something pulling
him. It felt like he was stretch from the inside and then that feeling went
away only to be replaced by the feeling of falling. Avian blacks out before he
felt himself landing. Before he fully lost conscious he felt something soft
brake his fall. © 2015 Black_FoxAuthor's Note
