The Battle is Over

We go through many things in life and some battles we face alone, others we don't, but the war is still yet to be won.

The Battle is Over

she fought and fought

trying to catch her breath

staying strong

fighting death

beatin down

scared and broken

no help around

everyone is gone

alone she fights

holding her ground

but all becomes silent

there is not one sound

afraid she lost

she stands back up 

the battle is over

but at what cost

the abusers gone

somewhat relieved

something is wrong

but what can it be

she drops down

to her knees

prays out loud

cries and pleas

the battle is over

she's the last one standing 

the war 

still to be won

alone 

she faces her fears

into the next battle

it takes years and years

broken and torn

she still fights

wins and loses battles

but will win the war

she will come out strong

standing tall

one battle at a time

she will win it all
