City in Black and White

City in Black and White

A Poem by hmarieee
"

Driving around LA with my brother inspired this.

"

City in Black and White

the city is in black and white

not a single soul in sight

the day so dead

going outside

such a dread

the sun goes down

and alive is the town

so many faces

going to all different places

hide on the sidelines

watching everyone go by

the night is so alive

dread turned into a smile

going out

no longer in denial

the sun starts to rise

the thing we all despise

gone to fast

the night never lasts

back to black and white

so lonely and so quiet

You brought back some old memories of when I would cruse around LA. at night. It so alive at night and the day brings the bland hum drum into being just like you described. Nice Job!

Having never been to L.A., I thank you for giving me a small glimpse into the city in which you call home. Nice job!
